ST. THOMAS UNIVERSITY

As one of the most well-know universities in South florida, St. Thomas University strives for excellence in its students and its faculty. In an effort to pass the excellence over to its technology section, STU contacted an Iblesoft partner to develop a custom website for them. However, it wasn’t any regular website. They wanted to integrate Geolocation map points and web components. This can actually be a challenge due to the need to integrate mobile classes and other custom classes. Also, it had to be able to handle & render the proper display on iPads and mobile devices, respectively. So by starting with a custom design, we exported to slices, and began going to work on the details and finite aspects of the design. We then left room for data markers and integration of a restful API to a mapping control written in DotNetNuke, an open source framework built on ASP.NET.
